The Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority (STUK) monitors the occurrence of radiation in the environment 24 hours a day. STUK offers the results of external radiation and outdoor radioactivity measurements for the use of various actors and citizens in society.

In STUK’s open data online service, users must accept the open data licence when registering for the online service. You can register to use the service through the Finnish Meteorological Institute’s online service.

Information on all service channels is not available in your chosen language. Change the language of the site to receive information on service channels in other languages.

To whom and on what terms

You can use the STUK online service to search for, view and download data produced by STUK in a machine-readable format, free of charge.

The technical implementation of the online service complies with the requirements laid down in the INSPIRE Directive. In terms of content, the implementation is broader than what is defined in the INSPIRE Directive. Open data is shared in the search service in accordance with Open Geospatial Consortium standards.

The use of data requires registration.

STUK develops the online service based on the needs for the use of data and user feedback. Therefore, you must register to use the search service. STUK complies with the legislation on the formation of a customer register.
