Do the following

You can apply the subsidy only with an electronic form. Before making the decision, the TE Office confirms the prerequisites for granting the subsidy and request for further information if necessary.

In the e-services, the application can be submitted by an authorised person. Persons without separate authorisation can act on behalf of an organisation if they have an existing mandate for transactions or a right based on register data.

The mandate theme is called Applying for subsidies for employment, environment, business and transport.

Authorised persons act on behalf of their organisation through Suomi.fi e-Identification. The service verifies the person's right to use the service when logging in. In addition to authorizations organisations need their business ID to use the e-services.

How to apply for the subsidy

Apply for the subsidy via E-services. Log in to the e-services using your personal banking ID, mobile certificate or certificate card.

Fill in the application and attach the necessary attachments to it through the e-services’ service menu. The e-services’ built-in instructions will help with filling in the application. Notifications received from the service provide information on the different stages of your transaction. By using e-services, you can submit an application, respond to requests for supplementary information concerning the application, supplement your application and receive decisions concerning your transaction.

How to apply payment of the subsidy

Apply for payment of the pay subsidy from the KEHA Centre in the e-services in accordance with the subsidy decision.

If you apply for a subsidy for an alternation or the procurement of work equipment or furniture, you must apply within a month from the performance of the alteration, or the procurement of the equipment or furniture.

The subsidy granted for assistance provided by another employee is paid monthly retrospectively on the basis of the realised time spent for providing assistance. The application for payment for the assistance provided by another employee must be delivered to the TE Office within two months from the end of the payment period.

You will receive a notification of the payment of pay subsidy to the e-service.

To whom and on what terms

The subsidy for arranging working conditions is discretionary. The TE Office assesses the appropriateness of the subsidy. The assessment will take into account your employee’s situation and the financial position of your organisation. You must deliver to the TE Office sufficient information for the assessment of the need for the subsidy.

A prerequisite for granting the arrangement subsidy for procurements or alterations due to a disability or an illness of an employee is that you, as the employer, participate in covering the costs with a reasonable sum.

The maximum amount of subsidy for the procurement of work equipment or making alterations is 4,000 euros per person. The TE Office may grant the subsidy to be paid completely or partially in advance.

The TE Office may grant a subsidy for assistance provided by another employee for a maximum of 20 hours a month for a period of 18 months. The amount of the subsidy is 20 euros per hour, and it is paid on the basis of the realised time spent for providing assistance. Subsidy for assistance provided by another employee to improve the person's ability to cope at work is granted up to a maximum of EUR 400 per month.

Subsidy for arranging working conditions is not granted for arrangement needs due to the entrepreneur’s own disability or illness.

Subsidy for arranging working conditions for economic activities is granted as aid under the General Block Exemption Regulation.
