To whom and on what terms

- Supported housing services are intended for you if you need support for independent living or transitioning to it, or you are at risk of becoming homeless.

- You primarily need support on a weekly basis, but not every day.

- A social welfare professional has made an assessment with you and determined that you need supported housing services for successful independent living.

- Before supported housing is arranged, other primary possibilities for housing support services will be explored with a social welfare professional and, if necessary, a multi-professional network.

- Each supported housing unit involves a lease agreement pursuant to the Act on Residential Leases, including rent payment obligations, and a support service according to an individual plan.

- In supported housing, you commit to the support service specified in your individual plan.

- A social welfare professional will make a decision on supported housing for you, as indicated in the Social Welfare Act.

- Some housing units have financial thresholds set by the Housing Finance and Development Centre of Finland (ARA) for eligibility for the service.
