Support services for informal carers of those aged under 65 years old
- Public service
Services that support informal carers in their work include statutory leave, which can be arranged as short-term care in housing services or institutions, with the help of a substitute informal carer or hourly caretaker, as day activities, or as a home service.
Leave can be arranged through the City’s own services, purchased service or with a service voucher.
In addition to the statutory leave, other recreational holidays can be arranged for families giving informal care.
Services are applied for via support for informal care social care workers at the client’s own social services office.
