Electricity and natural gas network activities are a monopoly subject to licensing. The network service is always the local network operator’s exclusive right and consumers cannot tender it. For this reason, the Energy Authority monitors the reasonableness of the pricing of network services (i.e. electricity transmission price) in periods of four years.

Do the following
1 Authorise one or more users with the Suomi.fi e-Authorisation to use the VATI system. The mandate can be found under the energy supply category and its name is Submitting transmission system operator's monitoring data.
2 Submit the monitoring data through the Energy Authority’s monitoring data system (VATI).
To whom and on what terms
The use of the monitoring data system requires that the operator has authorised the users of the system with the Suomi.fi e-Authorisation.
Deadline
The network structure data must be submitted annually by the end of March. Information on the financial statements and technical indicators must be submitted by the end of May.
