The support can be applied for continuously. The applications are decided on by support periods, which are:
- 16 January to 15 April
- 16 April to 15 June
- 16 June to 15 September
- 16 September to 15 January
Do the following:
1 Before submitting the application, contact the ELY Centre for Lapland. The experts at the ELY Centre will advise you on how to submit your application.
2 Check that you have the necessary rights to log in to the Hyrrä service in your organisation’s name or that you have given another person sufficient rights to act in your organisation’s name in the Hyrrä service.
3 Complete the electronic application and attach the necessary attachments. Business plan must be attached to the application.
4 Sign and submit the application for processing.
To whom and on what terms
Start-up support can be granted to first-time farmers under the age of 41. Applicants must have sufficient vocational skills. If the vocational skills requirement is not met at the time of application, the support can only be granted if the applicant commits to fulfil the requirement within 36 months after the support has been granted.
A business plan is a prerequisite for the support. The implementation of the business plan must start within nine months since the support has been granted.
