Social rehabilitation in employment support
- Service
- Helsinki
- Public service
Employment support facilitates the integration of the unemployed and those with reduced working abilities into society and the labour market.
The services provide broad-based networking, guidance, assessment and rehabilitative employment services.
Duuri employment services can be sought through the TE Office or income support and social work service points.
Rehabilitative work activities and other support services are provided at locations such as the Pakila Work Centre, Uusix-workshops, organisations, and other City departments. Rehabilitative work activities can be sought through Employment Services Centre Duuri, and are preceded by the drawing up of an activation plan.
To whom and on what terms
The service is only for citizens of Helsinki.
Background information
The municipalities support the employment of social welfare clients by offering advice and job opportunities. Subsidised employment may be available for a person who, because of a disability, illness, on-going rehabilitation or some other reason, needs special support in order to be employed. Information about the possibilities of being subsidised is available from the municipality's social services. The goal is that the subsidised employment will lead to a regular employment relationship.
