Service counselling for persons with substance abuse problems

Service counselling offers guidance and counselling for you and your family on detoxification and rehabilitation issues. The aim is to support abstinence from substance abuse and reduce and remove factors that endanger the client's well-being and safety.

It is better not to stall when looking for help. Early help can prevent serious problems.

To whom and on what terms

The service is available for all persons with a substance abuse problem and their family residing in the wellbeing services county.

Background information

People with substance abuse problems and their families and friends are offered guidance and counselling in, for example, matters related to substance abuse withdrawal and rehabilitation. The counsellors explain what services are available, how they can be applied for, and what preconditions there are for accessing them. They help direct people to the parties providing substance abuse services.

Persons with substance abuse problems and their family members can receive advice by phone or by visiting a service point. The counsellors do not make any service-related decisions.
