In the service counselling for persons with disabilities, an individual service plan will be made, on which the support services and the amount will be determined. The application for the service counselling for persons with disabilities must include a statement from a general practitioner and other experts if necessary.

Background information

Persons with disabilities and their family members receive counselling and guidance on health and social services, housing, studies, work, and finances.

The counsellors explain what services are available, how they can be applied for, and what preconditions there are for accessing them. If necessary, they can also provide advice on how to apply for and combine different types of financial support. The counsellors guide people to the providers of each type of service.

Counselling is available, for example, by phone and at service points. The counsellors do not make any service-related decisions.
