Apply for a security sector business licence from the Security Sector Supervision unit, based in Mikkeli. Applications can be submitted electronically, by email or by post.

To whom and on what terms

Any duly licensed natural person (business name) or legal entity (limited liability company, partnership, limited partnership, etc.) that has been entered in the trade register, has a business ID and has been granted a security sector business licence may provide private security services.

Security steward tasks carried out for the purpose of earning income may be performed by a natural or legal person who has been granted a security sector business licence.

Security services tasks carried out for the purpose of earning income may be performed by a natural or legal person who has been granted a security sector business licence.


Period of validity

Security sector business licences are valid until further notice.
