Securing child custody and right of access is a service intended for families who have divorced, who are in the process of divorcing and who live apart. In relation to matters concerning child custody and right of access, the parents visit the child welfare officer either after the divorce or in connection with confirming the paternity. In some cases, the child can also go visit the office of the child welfare officer if it has been agreed with the parents that the child welfare officer will also meet with the child.
Securing child custody and right of access is governed by the Act on Child Custody and Right of Access 190/2019.
