Request for information to the Regional State Administrative Agency

With this information request form, you can submit a request for information services to the Regional State Administrative Agency in accordance with the Act on the Openness of Government Activities and request the information and/or document you want.

Do the following

  1. Identify your request for information so that it shows as well as possible which document or information it concerns. For example, explain the topic of the matter, the period for which you want information, the area for which you want information, and the file number of the matter, if you have it. If your request for information concerns a public document or information, there is no need to justify the request. However, the provisions of data protection legislation apply to the disclosure of public personal data.
  2. You can submit a request for information using this electronic form or send a free-form request by e-mail to the Registry.

You can find more detailed instructions on how to submit a request for information services on the website in other ways than using the form:

  1. If you send your request for information by e-mail to the Registry, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt immediately.
  2. We will respond to your request for information and documents as quickly as possible.

In the case of a public document, we shall respond within two weeks of the request being made.

If there is a large number of requested documents or they contain confidential parts, or if the processing and resolution of the matter requires special measures or a larger amount of work than usual, the request for information is resolved and the public document is given no later than one month.

To whom and on what terms

Everyone has the right to receive public information on the documents and registers of the Regional State Administrative Agency.

Due to statutory secrecy provisions, the document or information you have requested may be kept confidential or partly confidential. If we refuse to provide the document or information you requested, we will inform you of the reason for the refusal. If you so wish, you will receive a decision that is eligible for appeal and you can appeal to the Administrative Court.

The service is free of charge.

An information request is in principle free of charge. If the information request relates to fees we can collect under section 34 of the Act on the Openness of Government Activities, we notify the price estimate. We may charge fees for copies of a document or for hiding confidential information. Our payments are determined according to the Decree on Regional State Administrative Agencies' fees in 2021 (1121/2020) and the Regional State Administrative Agencies' decision on fees (15.6.2020).
