To whom and on what terms

The services are intended for people, who have been unemployed for a long time, who have trouble finding their own place in the job market or who need other, specialised support measures, in order to find employment.

The service is only for citizens of Helsinki.

Background information

Work activities are intended for persons who, due to their illness, need for rehabilitation or some other reason, are unable to participate in ordinary work.

Work activities can be organised at activity centres or ordinary workplaces. Participants in work activities are not in an employment relationship with the organiser of the activities. Participants are paid a daily compensation for their work activities. Participants may have to pay for their meals and commutes during the workday.

The purpose of work activities is to maintain and promote the functional capacity of the participants.
