Do the following
The application for a certificate of qualification of an appointed responsible person and/or fitter in the field of refrigeration is submitted through the Regional administration e-services under ‘Tukes services’.
A copy of the diploma or qualification test certificate is attached to the application.
When applying for a qualification to be an appointed responsible person, the applicant must also include a specification of previous work experience (an appointed responsible person in the field of refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment) or proof of a degree required from an appointed responsible person (an appointed responsible person in the field of vehicle air-conditioning equipment). If the appointed responsible person works as a fitter, they must also fulfil the qualification requirements of a fitter.
Tukes will send the certificate of qualification to the applicant and register the qualification in the Tukes register for persons and companies authorised to do refrigeration work.
The register is available on the Tukes website for checking qualifications.
To whom and on what terms
The certificate of qualification in the field of refrigeration cannot be granted if the applicant has no required diploma or qualification test certificate.
A qualification in the field of refrigeration granted in another EEA state is valid in Finland if the qualification has been granted in accordance with the EU regulation on F gases. There is no need to reapply for a qualification from Tukes or to register the qualification in Tukes’ register for persons and companies authorised to do refrigeration work.
Processing time
30 days since the application was submitted. An incomplete application is delaying the process.
Period of validity
The qualification in the field of refrigeration is valid until further notice.
