At HUS, you can give birth at Women's Hospital in Helsinki and the Espoo, Hyvinkää, and Lohja hospitals.

Ultrasound examinations during pregnancy are carried out at the Bulevardi Prenatal Screening Unit (Helsinki University Hospital area) and in the maternity outpatient clinics of Lohja, Hyvinkää, Porvoo, and Raseborg. Risk pregnancies are monitored in all the maternity outpatient clinics, located in the Women's Hospital and in the Jorvi, Lohja, Hyvinkää, Porvoo and Raseborg hospitals.

Women’s Hospital is home to the Prenatal Diagnostic Unit which serves the entire Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa. The unit treats mothers whose fetuses have been detected in an ultrasound examination to have an abnormality or when the pregnant woman or her family member has previously been diagnosed with a hereditary disease or chromosomal abnormality.

In the care of women giving birth, a family-oriented and baby-friendly approach based on the wishes of those giving birth is implemented using modern monitoring equipment.
