- Permit or other obligation
- Nationwide except the Åland Islands
- Public service
An employer who employs a non-EU national must, without delay, deliver to the TE Office information about the main terms and conditions of the foreign person’s work. The TE Office must be notified of the terms and conditions of employment of people who have been granted a residence permit and of people who work on a visa or visa-free.
A notification does not have to be made if the employed foreign national is a citizen of the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland or a family member of such person.
Compliance with the obligation is monitored by the occupational safety and health authorities.
Do the following
The notification can be made electronically through the employer's Enter Finland.
Complete the printable form and tick the box ‘Giving the worker details’. Pay special attention to section 4. Main terms and conditions of work. Deliver the form to the TE Office.
You may also provide the information in a free format, for example, as a copy of the employment contract. The notification must include information about the main terms and conditions of work, such as the principal assignments, the duration and nature of the work, salary, the applicable collective labour agreement and the period of notice.
Enclose a copy of the employee’s passport or residence permit card in order to verify their identity.
