You can apply for long-term round-the-clock service housing when the amount of treatment and care you need has become so extensive that you can no longer live in your home. Round-the-clock service housing is provided in nursing homes, which can be found in the nursing home portal of the Western Uusimaa Wellbeing Services County. Round-the-clock service housing requires an extensive service needs assessment and a decision on service needs. Your situation will be assessed comprehensively upon making the decision.

The service can be granted to you if your functional ability has decreased to the extent that you need round-the-clock treatment and care. A range of physical, mental, cognitive or social functional ability assessment scales will be used to support the assessment of the overall situation. The prerequisite for the service is that you have already tried home care services, informal care or other services that support living at home to support your everyday life, but they have been deemed insufficient.
