You can search for information on design rights in the Design Database of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH). The database provides basic information on valid design registrations and pending national and international design applications. It also contains information on discontinued applications.

The Design Database allows you to freely investigate what kinds of designs have already been registered and the status of a specific design application. It is also possible to search for models designed by a specific company. You can also search for information on deleted designs and international design registrations designating Finland.
If you want to find out about design registrations in other countries, it is advisable to visit the eSearch Plus and Design View databases of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). The eSearch plus database contains information on Community designs registered in the EU. In addition to the designs registered by EUIPO, DesignView also contains information on other national registers worldwide.

There are no restrictions on the use of the service. The databases are available on the internet 24 hours a day, free of charge.
