Import and export licences for narcotic drugs

Fimea can grant an import and export licence for a substance or preparation (pharmaceutical preparation) qualified as a drug. A licence can be granted to a private entrepreneur, legal person, university or other research centre when the requirements set out in articles 9, 11 and 19 of the Narcotics Act are met.

To whom and on what terms

The requirements for granting the licences are described in articles 9, 11 and 19 of the Narcotics Act. In addition, article 16 of the Narcotics Act regulates the responsible person of the licence holder.
