Modifications are only made to permanent residences, and in that case the costs compensated as disability services must be reasonable. To whom and on what terms
The clients receiving the service are persons with disabilities, as defined in the Disability Services Act, for whom moving around or other independent management of daily activities is particularly difficult due to their disability or illness. The reasonable costs incurred of the home modifications can be reimbursed if the person with a disability absolutely needs the modifications to manage normal daily activities due to their disability or illness.
Modifications are not made to the homes of people who require institutional care, or to secondary residences. Renovation work will also not be reimbursed as modifications.
