Health examinations before call-ups

A young person who is old enough to be called to a call-up must first undergo a health examination before the call-ups that are organized in the fall. An appointment can be made after you have received the call-up letter.
A health certificate for a young person does not exempt you from a pre-call-up health check. If you have a medical certificate from a specialist, take it with you to the pre-call-up health examination and call-up. The purpose of the health examination is to determine the serviceability class of the young person and to identify and take into account possible risk factors related to their state of health. The examination is twofold: the examination is performed by both a nurse and a doctor. A total of about 40 minutes has been set aside for the inspection.
Preliminary health examinations before call-ups are done for students in upper secondary school or vocational school.
