Family care means the provision of care and nursing for an elderly, disabled or sick person at home with the help of a relative or other person close to the person being cared for. The purpose of support for family care is to enable the person being cared for to live in their own home for as long as possible and to delay the need for round-the-clock care. All caregivers who have entered into a formal family care agreement with Soite will be invited by letter to a health examination for caregivers. The health check is statutory for caregivers. The health check supports the health, well-being and coping of the caregiver. As for the person being cared for, the services for them are tailored by the official in charge of the family care support.
