In Sipoo, family work is easily accessible for all everyday situations where families experience problems. Social advisors listen to the families and help, guide and direct them in ordinary everyday problems. The support is provided free of charge, and both the frequency of the meetings and the way they are carried out is agreed with the family. Family work can be provided for a total of three months at the most.
Family work is primarily carried out in the family home. Nevertheless, it is also possible to arrange meetings in the maternity health clinic, a café, a child’s day care facility or at a playground. Families who wish so may also meet the family worker at the family work unit. The work is directed to the entire family.
We help you in your parenthood by listening to you and reinforcing your role as a mother or father. We may also participate in a difficult situation by giving practical advice and suggesting different methods you could try in various situations. We will always agree on the support methods used.
