Emergency dental care for children and young people is organised in the dental clinic of the patient’s own area.
Emergency dental services for adults are organised on weekdays 7–15 at Ruskeasuo dental clinic at Mannerheimintie 172, 4th floor, and at Myllypuro dental clinic, Jauhokuja 4, 4th floor.

Evenings, weekends and public holidays
The emergency services in the evenings, at weekends and on public holidays in the metropolitan area (Helsinki, Espoo, Vantaa, Kauniainen) and Kirkkonummi are located at Haartman Hospital, Haartmaninkatu 4, building 12.

In case of serious mouth and dental diseases the Töölö hospital’s accident and emergency department serves at Töölönkatu 40, Helsinki. Please call before arriving at the emergency, tel. 040 621 5699.

The service is intended for residents of Helsinki.
In the evenings, nights and at the weekends the emergency service is intended for residents of the Helsinki metropolitan area and Kirkkonummi.
Oral health care emergency services look after such cases as patients who need urgent surgical treatment. A patient should also go to the 24-hour services if they have injuries to their mouth, jaw or teeth that require urgent treatment and if they experience sudden swelling, inflammation or fever. If a patient has heavy bleeding after oral or dental surgery, they should turn to the emergency services.
Ordinary toothache and such problems as cracked teeth are treated in the daytime on weekdays.
Urgent oral health care is organised as joint 24-hour care in each catchment area for highly specialised medical care. The catchment area must organise the services so that unreasonably long distances to 24-hour dental care can be avoided.
