Background information
Persons who are unemployed or under threat of unemployment are offered guidance and counselling on issues related to health and social welfare services. These include issues related to health, work ability and rehabilitation. The advisers explain what services are available, how they can be accessed and what the preconditions for using them are. If necessary, counselling on applying for different financial support forms and their coordination is also available.
The unemployed can get counselling for example on telephone or by visiting a service point. The advisers do not make decisions related to the services. TE Office provides advice on job-seeking and access to training.
