Compensations for owners of fishing waters

The fisheries authorities of the ELY Centres grant each year compensations to owners of fishing waters for use based on the utilisation of chargeable common fishing rights and fishing guide activities. Compensations are paid from the funds accrued from the fishing management fees paid by fishermen.

Do the following

The ELY Centre pays compensations to fishing areas without an application once a year. The fisheries regions further distribute the funds to owners of fishing waters without a separate application.

The Development and Administrative Services Centre (KEHA Centre) of the ELY Centres and TE Offices pays the compensations to the bank account of the fisheries regions without a separate application.

Compensations are paid to owners of fishing waters without a separate application under the Fishing Act and within the appropriation granted by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
