Business Sector Services

Business Sector Services collate, analyse and communicate information about the business environment to help companies and operators make decisions. The purpose of the service is to facilitate the renewal, growth and internationalisation of Finnish companies

The information services of the Business Sector Services include the following reports and reviews:

  • Sector reports (in Finnish, summary in English)
  • Sectors’ economic prospects (in Finnish)
  • Regional prospects (in Finnish)
  • SME sector barometers (in Finnish)

Business Sector Services also maintain the Toimiala Online (Sector Online) statistics service, which provides free access to information on, for instance, business location details at a regional, sub-regional and municipal level, as well as information based on financial measures. The expert network of business sector managers together with the Toimiala Online (Sector Online statistics) service is a comprehensive and easily accessible entity for the promotion and development of business activities, allocation of public funding and to inform strategic foresight.

Business Sector Services are based on strong expertise and experience, renewable approaches, as well as extensive cooperation with customers, businesses and stakeholders. Expert work takes place in terms of sector-specific strategic foresight, assessment of regional development, the development of competence, and allocation of public funding.
