Decision on acceptance to the TIR system

The TIR transit procedure is subject to authorisation. Its purpose is to ensure uninterrupted movement of goods along the transport route under customs supervision. The procedure can be implemented in countries which are contracting parties of the TIR Convention.

Processing time

Authorisation applications are processed within 120 days from when they are approved for processing. The application can be approved for processing when it contains all the details needed to make a decision, i.e. the application is fully completed and accompanied with the necessary attachments.
