Driving school permit and forms for driving schools

Driving school permits are applied for group 1 or 2 or both. Driving school permits may also only be applied for category A or M driver instruction. Group 1 contains vehicle categories Am120, A1, A and B. Group 2 contains vehicle categories C1, C, C1E, CE, D1, D, D1E and DE

Do the following

Complete the driving school application and submit it to the Traficom registry with appendices. Appendices required for the application:

• Solvency statement

• Extract from the Register of Guardianship Affairs

• Extract from the Trade Register (companies only)

• Certificate of studies or completion of a driving school entrepreneur’s course of the director in charge

• Report of work experience

To whom and on what terms

The driving school permit is granted to the applicant if they:

• have sufficient financial and other prerequisites to operate

• are not bankrupt. If the applicant is a natural person, they must be an adult and they may not have any restrictions on their competency

• have a director in charge of teaching and teaching staff meeting the set requirements and the use of the necessary teaching facilities, materials and tools.

A fee is charged for the service.

The permit decision is subject to a fee. See the amount of the fee in the price list on the Traficom website.
