Background information

In certain situations, a patient may receive at-home hospital care. The attending doctor plans and implements the treatment. The patient’s consent is required for at-home hospital care. The patient may receive at-home hospital care if their condition is sufficient for the process. In addition, all care measures must be planned in a way that they can also be implemented at home.

At-home hospital care always takes into consideration the overall situation in the home and the status of any other family members.

At-home hospital care is provided as an alternative to hospital care. At-home hospital care usually includes visits from nursing staff and patient visits to the hospital, in accordance with the patient’s care plan and current status.
