A company must use an EORI (Economic Operators Registration and Identification System) number for a customs declaration in most countries in the EU. The EORI number is used as an identifier when contacting the customs authorities of other EU member states. Finnish companies can apply for an EORI number from Customs. In certain rare cases, an individual customer may also apply for an EORI number.
