The Unemployment Fund for Education and Science is one of the biggest unemployment funds in Finland (105,000 members). We were formerly known as Teachers’ Unemployment Fund. We are an unemployment fund not only for teachers and educational professionals, but also for researchers, psychologists, and others with higher education.
Our goal is to be an expert in the field of unemployment security and a helping partner in the difficult life situation of the member. Being a member of an unemployment fund is an important safety net in a changing world. The Unemployment Fund for Education and Science helps members on issues concerning earnings-related allowance, job alternation compensation and mobility assistance and pays benefits to its members.
