Last will and testament

A testament is a document you can use for determining how your property, i.e. your estate, will be distributed after your death.

Nobody is forced to draw up a testament. You need to draw up a testament only if you wish that your property is to be distributed in some other manner than what is specified in the law.

A testament is invalid if the formats laid down in law have not been complied with in drawing up the document.
