Quality to the Web is a sub-portal of the Suomi.fi portal. Its target group consists of organisations which produce and supply public sector web services plus the Suomi.fi cooperation network. The site is also useful to other organisations producing online services.
The site consists of text and links. The Quality to the Web service is mainly in Finnish, but some of the information has been translated into Swedish. Very few of the pages are in English.
The Quality to the Web pages are produced by the Suomi.fi editorial team. The Suomi.fi editorial team is located in the State Treasury.
The site is in five main sections, two of which focus on ensuring the quality of public sector web services and three describe the Suomi.fi portal and provide a service for the cooperation network behind it.
You can use the Quality to the Web site by browsing the pages or using the free-text search function.
The main menu for the site is in the top tool bar. The menu for each section appears on the left-hand side of the page. The breadcrumb trail at the top of the page shows where the page is located in the website.
You can enlarge or reduce the text using the magnifying-glass buttons (Zoom in and Zoom out) in the top right-hand corner of the page.
The links on the pages open in the same browser widow. The files usually open in the program application determined by the file format.
The date on which the page was last updated appears at the bottom of the page.
Each page has 1-3 columns. The left-hand column contains the menu, if required, the centre column shows the primary content of the page, and the right-hand column contains further information relating to the topic, such as internal links.
For each link or file there is a headline, a description, the web address and the organisation responsible for the information. Besides relevant metadata for each file, the file format and size are also given.
