Safety and health at work

Legislation and regulations on safety and health at work as well as the relevant applications forms can be found on the websites of many different authorities and specialist organisations in the health sector.

The regulations may relate either to an employee’s personal state of health or a certain professional group. For example, an employee who is pregnant and exposed to danger factors may apply for earlier than normal maternity leave. More stringent health checks than usual are carried out for occupations where employees have to do their job without causing hazardous situations.
