Tourism

People travelling in Finland can obtain information on their destination from information offices that specialise in tourism in various localities and from their websites. They can also be used to find suitable accommodation and get tips on what to do and see.

Those travelling abroad can obtain information on their destination from travel agents, travel bureaus for various countries, travel guides and the Internet.

Organising a trip also involves sorting out safety and health risks in advance. The Ministry for Foreign Affairs publishes information on safety in various areas. Information on the vaccinations required from one region to another is available from health centres.

Importing and exporting goods, animals and plants are regulated. The Customs advises travellers on these issues.
