The National Land Survey of Finland produces general, basic and topographic maps. The most detailed map is a basic one that covers the entire area of Finland. It is useful for hikers or road users, while topographic maps are good for cyclists or canoeists.
Today, maps are commonly available in digital format. The National Land Survey of Finland has a Map Service, which allows you to browse topographic maps at various scales that cover the whole country. The service includes the ‘Citizen’s MapSite’, which is accessible to all and free, and the ‘Professional’s MapSite’, which is subject to a charge.
