Teaching and education
Everyone living in Finland receives free basic education provided by the local authority. After basic education, Finnish citizens are eligible for upper secondary school, providing general education, or vocational education and training. Thereafter, Finnish citizens may continue their studies in polytechnics, universities or other institutions of higher education. Some schools accept students without an entrance exam.
