Student loans
Students can apply to banks for a loan for courses of full-time study once they have received an official decision on a student grant and one on a state guarantee in respect of the loan. The latter is valid for a maximum of 30 years. No security against the loan is required.
Students normally start repaying the loan when they have completed their studies. If they have difficulties repaying, they have to discuss postponement of repayment or a new arrangement with the bank.
