Portals for education materials

There are plenty of digital materials available for purposes of self-study. For example, the Finnish National Board of Education produces study materials for small groups of students in areas where commercial publishing is not profitable.

In the upper secondary school distance learning system, studying is mainly done independently and away from any school or college. As well as written materials, TV and radio distance learning programmes, audio and online study materials are used. Furthermore, Statistics Finland has produced online study materials that can be used both in comprehensive schools and universities.
