IT training

Courses on, and guidance in, improving IT skills are provided by many organisations in Finland. Their aim is to teach relevant skills to elderly people and those with little knowledge or experience of information technology and help them cope in the information society, especially with regard to eservices.

There are also examinations in the use of computers at different levels from beginners to advanced. Examinations are organised by around 500 training centres located all over Finland. Tieke, the Finnish Information Society Development Centre, is responsible for  the qualification requirements and the competence-based tasks involved.
