The Budget

The Budget sets limits for general government finances. The ministries make budget proposals to the Ministry of Finance for their own areas of responsibility, and the Ministry of Finance deals with them and puts them together. The Ministry of Finance proposal for the Budget is dealt with in a government budget session. Parliament approves the Budget which is proposed by the Government and finalised by the Ministry of Finance. If revisions are necessary, the Ministry of Finance draws up a supplementary budget proposal which is discussed in Parliament.
