Bankruptcy

In bankruptcy, the debtor's property is used on one occasion to pay off debts. Either the debtor or the creditors may apply for bankruptcy proceedings and applications for bankruptcy are made to the district court. When someone becomes bankrupt, debtors lose their rights to their own property. The district court appoints an administrator of an estate to ensure that bankruptcy proceedings are carried out properly.
