Instructions for emergencies
In an emergency or if a person is suddenly taken ill, first aid should be given, if possible. Emergency assistance should be called to the scene and attempts made to prevent further accidents.
The first person arriving at the scene of an accident starts to give help. The person with most knowledge of first aid directs operations. The help needed by the injured must be evaluated. Everyone who is capable helps. The most important thing in first aid is to secure the patient's breathing and blood circulation and to stop any major bleeding.
When the police arrive, they take charge of operations. A general alarm signal is transmitted in a general emergency. Further information on the reasons for the alarm is broadcast on the radio.
