Wild plants and animals

There are various internet websites providing information on wildlife in Finland. For example, Webkasvio describes plants, mosses and lichens that occur in Finland and where to find them. The Finnish Broadcasting Company has a sound gallery where visitors can learn about Finnish birdlife, and the website of the Federation of Finnish Fisheries Associations has information on the commonest fish species to be found in the country. You can even play a memory game on the subject of fish there.

You should not disturb wild animals when staying in summer cottages and when out in nature. Try to help sick or helpless animals if they are in genuine need of help.
