Discrimination

People may not be discriminated against on grounds of sex, sexual orientation, age, origin, language, religion, faith, opinion, health or disability.

The Minority Ombudsman promotes the status and equality of ethnic minorities and foreigners in Finland outside working life. The National Discrimination Tribunal of Finland deals with ethnic discrimination in everyday life. Anyone can seek deliberation from the tribunal in case of infringement.

The Divisions of occupational health and safety at the Regional State Administrative Agencies deal with cases of discrimination in working life. You can turn to them if you think you have been discriminated against at work or in recruitment.
