Law and legal protection by keyword protection of privacy

The Constitution of Finland guarantees the fundamental rights of each individual. Legislation is enacted by an elected Parliament. Everyone aged 18 or over has the right to vote in national and local government elections.

All citizens and authorities must observe the law. An independent judiciary resolves disputes and criminal matters.

Finnish and Swedish are the national languages of Finland, which people have the right to use when dealing with the authorities. Everyone's private life, honour and the home are protected under the Constitution. No one has the right to read or listen to a message intended for someone else without permission.
