Holidays may have to be cancelled for a number of reasons, or a holiday destination may not be what was promised. The most common problems are related to dissatisfaction with the destination. These should be immediately reported to the travel agency or hotel representative. If things do not improve, you can claim a refund later under the Consumer Protection Act.

When booking a flight, you should take precautions against possible illness. The terms and conditions concerning cancelling or changing flights are strict – and very limited in the case of the cheapest tickets. It is advisable to take out travel insurance that also covers cancellation due to illness.
