Housing allowances
Different housing allowances for those on low incomes, pensioners, students, and the partners and children of conscripts are available from KELA. Factors affecting whether a housing allowance will be granted include the number of people living in the household, income, expenses, assets and the features of the dwelling.
Applicants can use the online calculation service to assess their chances of receiving a housing allowance. Advice and help with housing allowances are available from KELA offices, where applicants can pick up the necessary forms. The most frequently needed application forms can also be printed out online.
The partners and children of conscripts are entitled to a military service housing allowance, which covers actual living costs.
