Organic production

Organic production is a production method which may be referred to on agricultural products, feeds, foods and alcoholic beverages only when certain rules and regulations have been observed. Common rules and regulations are observed throughout the entire EU area and they may also be applied to agricultural products, feeds, foods and alcoholic beverages produced outside the EU. The system for monitoring organic production has been defined in law. Organic farming forbids the use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides.
